Your self-build version looks great and with 3/4" ply vs. particle board, there's really no comparison as to which one is the stronger build. There is one more caveat worth factoring into it and that's the additional finishing time and materials for staining, painting, sanding, etc. Without taking these steps, the self-build project will look, well... unfinished. With it, you're adding a fair bit of time and maybe an additional $80 in materials to the cost. Maybe there's a happy compromise to be had by purchasing the center cabinet and drawers and then building your own custom shelves, organizers, and clothes hangers? Just a thought. Great job!

Colors are too white, too orange and the gray is dull. I like the shutters and matching their color on the door, bricks and the white walls would make it classier and warmer. Earth tones always make a home look warm and cozy. White has to be cleaned with some frequency but earth tones don’t need frequent freshen ups.

You spent close 20k anyway, and that is minus labor. The appliances and floors would have been atleast 10 to 15k. So stop under-reporting your cost. This was easily a 30k reno or more, si you have negative equity at the end of it all

Run the texture spray cans under hot water in the sink while shaking up a few times and it sprays out more even

It's an incredible remodel, but I do think I would have either painted or replaced the cabinets. They don't seem to fit in with the ultra clean and modern surroundings.
